I almost wish they got trapped

Who wants to bet they’re going to get stuck in the archives 🙄 there’s a difference between foreshadowing and straight up telling Yarros.

Great so because violet ‘can’t stand lying to her friends’ and because Rhi saves her and essentially all marked ones, violet decides to doom them all by telling not her but THREE people everything of whom cannot protect themselves against Dain…so basically she is telling the whole world. (Aelin would never.)

I can’t help but compare this to TOG because I literally just read it. This book is like eating stale oatmeal from an expired Quaker Oats package with cold high calcium-ified water. Whereas TOG was like enjoying a five course meal with incredible company whilst listening to live music orchestrated by Hans Zimmer. Is the oatmeal that bad or only because of having experienced luxury? Answer? It’s that bad.

I HATE the miscommunication trope (I know ironic because I’m so bad at it), but literally it makes no sense. Violet literally KNOWS she’s going to get tortured for her training and yet she begs to know everything from Xaden; for someone who says she wants to protect her friends I have a hard time believing it. I guess she draws the line when the protection comes at the cost of her knowing everything. 🙄

Maybe it’s coming down from the high that was TOG but this writing narrative and storyline is actually… rubbish. Sorry.
