I’m more impressed you finished it. I’ve tried three times— a decade or so between each attempt. Put me to sleep every stinking time. And I made it thru Michener’s Hawaii so it’s not the size or scope. Le sigh. Maybe I’ll try the audiobook.

I think the trick to getting through mammoth books is just do it one chapter at a time. At least until you “fall in” like what happened to me with “the count of monte cristo”
