It was years ago, but I think I bought this book because I had a sweet tooth, it's a magical bakery mystery, and there are recipes included in the back of the book. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Idk, I don't like the phrases African American (personal reasons) or goshdaughter (literary reasons). I get that she's a witch, but why call a goddaughter a goshdaughter? Because what is a gosh? A spiritual daughter maybe? Idk, it seems lazy to me.

I don't think I'm the target audience for this book...I'm focusing on the wrong things.

Prrrrrrrobably should've read the first 9 books in the series or at least book #1. Ah well. 🤷🏾‍♀️ It says it can be read as a standalone, but I didn't know it was book #10 when I bought it a year ago. 🤦🏾‍♀️
