I think the song has a lot to do with the plot; the main conflict of the story is the strings, and all they do is offer a glimpse into the uncertain future. And the song is about how it's important not to look too much into the future, but instead to focus on the present.

I would try to de-escalate the situation and ask them to present their argument logically. I find that when you do this emotion emotion-based decision-making reduces drastically.

I believe that if any group is having its rights imposed upon it is everyone's duty to stand up for them. This might have to fo with the fact I just read at firt thy came for poem by martin neimoller.

I don't think I would have a choice. Because it's referenced in the book, the politician had a long string because he jumped in front of the bullet. That means he/I was always destined to jump in front of the bullet.

No, at the point at which a child is old enough to receive a box, they are old enough to decide for themselves.

I don't like him; he claims to follow his values, but he acts hypocritically. I don't like people who act like him, it's as simple as that

I'm not sure if I truly believe in miracles, but I do believe in statistical outliers. The whole concept of a miracle is something that wouldn't happen normally in an emergency, and is just as likely to occur as the event would be without the disaster. In summary, I believe that it just comes down to luck. And there is no driving force behind any one event, but instead that it all comes down to cause and effect.

Multiple POVs can help you understand each character's actions and mental state better; however, I do not like reading books with more than two POVs. In my experience, I find reading them more tedious than enjoyable
