I really like this book, I can tell its already one of my favorites! Lots has happened in this chunk. After Thomas survives a night in the maze, the sun disappeared, supplies stopped arriving, and the doors didn't close. "The Doors. They didn't close tonight" (239). I predict that Thomas will escape the maze but nobody else will so he is the "winner" of the experiment. Can't wait to see how this book ends!

I am really enjoying the Maze Runner so far. Right off the bat it was exciting. I think Thomas will become Keeper of the Runners. He is brave. "Almost consumed by grief, he made a decision. He'd go down fighting". The story is based on a boy Thomas who suddenly has to shift to his new, scary life. He is scared at first, but quickly adapts and becomes strong. Although, strange things happen now that he's there.

Hi Esther! I read this book in the past and it is definitely one of my favorites! The part that you mentioned is a big turning point, especially with the doors staying open. Can't wait to hear what you think of the ending!
