from what I‘ve just read (btw there‘s ways to inform yourself) it‘s a movement to raise awareness of the gender-based violence in South Africa. meaning the femicide rates of 15 women murdered every day in South Africa. that’s a woman or girl killed every 2.5 hours. obviously femicides aren‘t solely limited to South Africa, hatred and violence towards women and girls happen all over the world
