Thought this book was going to be another memoir about a life spent running so it sat on my shelf for a while. When I picked it up it's actually an examination of philosophy and virtue ethics and how running (and to some extent sports in general) interplays with virtue - shaping and developing virtues like discipline, but also the ways ethics shape sportsmanship, sometimes in contradiction with performance etc.
