Tolkien’s ability to set the stage and the world around the protagonist is truly one of a kind. Time constraints and general busyness have halted my progression but as I approach the end of Part 1, I can’t help but feel more and more drawn to the pages. Tom B is a goat. Frodo is developing. And the introduction of Strider is putting the real journey into motion and bringing the excitement!
