The book is RAW, raunchy and harsh. Miller has moments of insight that gleam within all the darkness he experiences in Paris at the time. I have a stack of books to finish. Reading my pile is like I'm listening to multiple conversations at a crowded party yet his will be the book I'll finish next.

Its a very dark look on life yet I'm enjoying it a great deal. It's like sharing a mean joke with a close friend.
