Michael is finally feeling like he doesn't love Ashley, yet he's still broken about wanting to kill himself not Ashley. He did get better than before, but he still has a stupid voice in his head that wants to eat him alive, inside and out. Michael shouldn't have gone to the Prom, he shouldn't have even talked to Johnny, he could've just stayed away from his past to keep on going and hoping on a better future.
