S: At this point in the book, the daughter and mother are seperated from the brother and father. We learn the brother is never seen again, probably gased or killed otherwise. The mother and daughter meet slme cousins and are transported to a well known work camp in Poland. Here they work long hours with little food or rest and wait to see what their future holds.

P: I predict that the main character will never see her brother or father again. The seperation of the camp demands horrible things to happen in the future.

P- The first chapter of the story is an introduction to the story ahead. I predict lots of horror and heart break as the speaker tells her real life story of surviving the Holocaust. However, I do predict some glimpes of hope as well.
