Nope, not enjoying this.

Fascinating concept. Transhuman society grappling with the same old Fermi paradox, one-basket argument and how to ethically explore without imperialism. But I am struggling with the actual details. There's so much seeming recognizable. I think I might need a break.

There's a lot of higher order math and, I think, made up future physics. I'm skimming pretty hard.

*sigh* Best I can tell, none of the characters yet introduced have gender. But that hasn't stopped my brain from flagging each with a sort of test gender based on name and behavior.

The sooner English language speakers come to a consensus on gender neutral pronouns the happier I will be. Today's model is "ve/vis/ver".
