I spent too long away from this book and now I’m confused but it’s 1,000 pages and I ain’t restarting

Omfg I just reached the flashbacks part. I have to go to work so I can’t keep reading but I’m GAGGEEDDSSSD jdisodkenwndkd omfffgggggg

So good. I’m having trouble tracking the world-building, especially the politics and the way magic works in this world. But it seems as if it will become apparent as the story goes on.
