ok be honest now, if you did read alchemised (the new version) did you like it and why? And do you think there is space for more fanfics being traditionally published? Was this the right move? But also if you do like the new version or old, I'd love to know, why? lol

I haven’t read it yet. Never read HP series so I didn’t read manacled but I am experiencing huge FOMO. So will come back with my thoughts from the perspective of someone who knows nothing of the Manacled/HP world and solely going in as a reader of Alchemised. Eager to read other thoughts too

I didn’t read the HP series but I still read Manacled and enjoyed it very much. I have read Alchemized (and attended a Q&A with the author) and I liked it a lot. Manacled was my first fanfic. I read two more after it and they were also traditionally published this year. I don’t think those were as successful in their transition. Alchemised felt familiar but strong enough to stand as a story of its own.
