I have finished the book, and I think it became more confusing for me. I was angered by Emo's actions and I wished Tayo attacked him instead of hiding. I was glad that Tayo was able to come home and be normal once again. I just wished that maybe he and Ts'eh were reunited? I was quite confused about where she went after the ceremony.

In this section, I was somewhat confused by the series of events and the time that passed between them. How long passed when the Texan riders left him and when he got up and found the hunter? I was also intrigued by the woman the hunter lived with and her knowledge. She seemed to know a lot about Tayo. It was like she could she through him. I was interested in her significance to Tayo.

So far in this section, I really like Betonie because I think he seems to be helping Tayo. I feel like we finally get to see more into Tayo's head because he starts to talk about his experiences and sorrow for Rocky. I like how Betonie explains the world and the white people to him. He seems mystical and like a great help in Tayo making his own transition to getting better.

As I begin to get used to this book and the way it's written, I find that I'm beginning to understand it better. I'm really intrigued by the role of tradition in Tayo's family because of his grandmother and aunt. I also like seeing Tayo's logic and ability to see reality when he's with his army friends.
