35% in and I’m reminded about the first book. I think I was too nice in my review. There is a lot of emotional abuse, references to child abuse, etc. the emotional abuse isn’t dealt with it’s raged about then they make out…if there was some coming to terms, improving of sentiment over time etc. it’d be another thing but it’s their one true love so clearly everything gets brushed aside after bitching a lot
