It was shocking to me, the process this book takes audiences to make one understand how a group is ruined from the inside out. For example, the book takes the Ku Klux Klan and states how the reason the KKK was so secretive was because they possessed information that no one else knew. Kennedy tried to harm this group by using the radio to to publicize information about them, thus destroying the secrecy.

Guilt is something that the book talks about. It is shown when there is a fee of 3 dollars to parents every time they pick up their child late. Shortly after the 3$ fee, there were even more parents not picking up their children on time. The book states part of the reason this happened was because parents could buy off their guilt-paying the 3 dollars plus the fee wasn't that large.
