On page 93 it says "Maurice soon figured out Miss House was in his corner, and to him her support was like a life preserver". This quotes is a sample of simile.

Michele and I have made a huge connection over the years, we hang out together, go eat somewhere together, and everything you can think of. So for those reasoners Michele and I have an Invisible Thread. I have now asked Michele to be my sponsor (for my conformation) which has just made us closer. this shows how acts of kindness can lead to big things in the near future.

Many people ask: "what is an Invisible Thread?" An Invisible Thread is a invisible connect between 2, 3, 4 people, or however many people you have a connection with. An invisible Thread also shows how a little act of kindness can lead to a big future. For example, I have many cousins, but there is one cousin of mine who I have a connection with; my cousin Michele.

In this chapter, Maurice explains how Laura and him start talking again, and how there haven't been many people who looked out for him. He lost him grandmother, and him mother so he keeps calling Laura to make sure he keep a connection.

As the story goes on Maurice gets old and becomes his own person. When I met Maurice and Laura, they where literally two peas in a pod. They dot live together anymore but they are like mother and son. When Maurice was young, his father abused him a lot and know he had overcome those memory's and is a strong person

A conflict during the book is when Maurice meets Laura. Without Laura Maurice wouldn't have lived a long life. I know that because I have had read this book before and in my old school, I had the opportunity of meeting Laura and Maurice. Shes told us that if she kept on walking past Maurice, he would have probably been dead. One act of kindness can go a far far way.

Laura has defiantly changed in various ways. From being a single person with no kids, to being a person with still no husband but a person with a "child". Also a way she changes id her love. I bet out of 1,000 people would even bring a homeless person to McDonnell's every monday.

In this book, one of the main characters is Maurice. The character I chose is Maurice because he has a very good cense of humor (according to Laura) and he has a soul of a angel. Maybe on the outside Maurice looks tired, trashy, weird, disgusting etc. but on the inside he is very very open minded. One of my favorite quotes in life is "never judge a book by its cover" just like how you should never judge a person.

Maurice is mortified. Maurice is mortified because being homeless isn't easy. Well, technically he isn't homeless he has a family but an abusive, crazy father. Imagine yourself being homeless, wouldnt you be scared? Well just put yourself in Maurice's shoes, he feeds himself and so does Laura. I would be dead

Laura is brave. She has met Maurice and practily saved his life. Laura is a hero. What if Maurice's dad didnt abuse him and didn't make him suffer. Where would they be now. Laura couldn't do anything better for Maurice

One internal conflict about Laura is has she is so "warm". After sort of "adopting" Maurice, she has turned into to the person everyone wants to be. Therefore, this shows how (as Laura said) "one little act can change someones life".
