Overhyped, yet was still a very enjoyable read to the point where I actually might continue and get the whole trilogy. Had a nice pace and at least the action beats were worth-while. The characters and the world itself though... a little stock and stale for my taste. But the story itself, the pace and the action itself made the stay worthwhile.

I'll say it right now, as much as I like the pace and the plot, so far the characters and the settings are sub-par to be honest. But this comes from a guy who doesn't read a ton of young adult fiction which tends to be written in a sort of matter-of-fact way. Which turns me off in so many ways :/
