Ugh! In another life, what if they ended up together? Would they have been happy? Would he have done something stupid to mess things up? I don't know. But in some ways, Prince Rui would have made for a more interesting ml. A capricious, playboy prince. A failed emperor. Someone so dazzled by the fl, in part, bc she's unattainable. I can't help but think of how she would have made him better. 😭😭

The plot and the writing aren't really bad. It's just incredibly dry in some places, so I'm struggling to finish this.
