Ah, geez. Was hoping Olin would make it to at least the second book. What is Drem going to do now? Half the time I'm reading from his perspective, he's getting his ass handed to him and getting knocked out one way or another.

Okay so a Ben-Elim are originally supposed to be immortal, but since coming through the cauldron they are now flesh and (mortal?) Like humans; but that still doesn't grant them the rights of relations and love and all the feelings of humans.
So when a Ben-Elim and a White Wing have relations that could potentially lead to sex, they chop his wings off and banish the White Wing? Seems excessive. Foreshadowing?

So a Ben-Elim nobody throws his weight around insulting The Order and strikes Olin for standing his ground and Drem's mom is like ah hell nah and strikes him down... now the Ben-Elim have to save face and demanded a blood debt by taking Drem? Fuuuuuck that.

Explains why Olin has spent years running.
