Just finished Foundation’s Edge. Written 30 years after the original Foundation Trilogy, Asimov’s greater writing experience shows. Much better written. You’ll still never get poetic descriptions from Asimov, but the timespan is cut down so that some actual characters emerge.

Finished Second Foundation. So far this has been a reread of the original trilogy which I speed read in one weekend in 1970 while I was moving out of the commune on Evans Street in Dorchester to an apartment on Corbett Street, about a block away, soon after my father died.
As might be expected with a story that spans thousands of years, it’s plot driven rather than character driven.

Just starting: Foundation, Part I. The Psychohistorians, Chapter 1.
This is partly a reread actually. I read borrowed copies of the first 3 novels very quickly over a weekend in 1970 when I first moved into an apartment on Corbett Street in Dorchester, leaving the commune on Evans Street I had moved into in the summer of 1968.
