i didn't initially know or understand what Bois was intending to convey with 17776. of course it begins with a focus on mortality, ennui, and obviously football, but by the halfway mark it touches on deeper themes regarding a higher power and life's purpose. the seriousness and genuine hilarity are perfectly balanced. i find myself slowing down again to avoid finishing it too soon. i don't want it to end

I love the experience of reading this piece. Every time I reopen the webpage and see the tab name "What football will look like in . . .", the red star, and I feel transported back into its world. What a fun read.
