The father’s selfish decisions is what I believe holds everyone back. He holds back their growth, passions and emotions.

I just read about the crash and it’s disappointing to see how the father’s choices impacted this family in just this moment. The brother did not have to live with this guilt, the mother didn’t not have to live with this injury and the family did not have to live without certainty.

I love how strong the women in the narrators life are. Both her grandmother and mother are a force, which I believe will play a crucial role in the narrators future.
