This book is about how Muslim family living in the U.S. The family is living in America illegally. While they are in America 9/11 happens. This means that were stereotypes about Muslims. The fact that this happens has the family even more afraid about what might happen to them. The father of the family gets arrested and detained at the border. I think the story was writen to show the hardships of NEXT STATUS
