Loved this retelling of Hansel and Gretel by one of my favorite authors, Stephen King…and…AND….illustrated by Maurice Sendak!!!
The drawing style instantly teleported me back in time to my childhood. And, the casual writing style that slowly ratchets up the tension word by word….pulled me in and made me feel cozy, buried under the covers.
Absolutely perfect!
