whoo boy. this is gonna be a very unpleasant book to push through reading. every time i start feeling an ounce of compassion towards a character they immediately repulse me in the next paragraph. i was expecting complex characters with intense flaws based on the reviews but i was assuming something more inclined with succussion where you love to hate the characters because they're so layered. not the case here.
