Notes:
(1) I just received my pre-order copy today! It arrived in perfect condition.
- My faith in Amazon fulfillment has been temporarily restored following the poor state of the last book I received by mail.
(2) I must say, "The Secret of Secrets" has to be the most Dan Brown title to ever Dan Brown.
- You'd almost think it was a parody.
(3) Nearly 700-pages? Is Dan Brown trying to kill me?

- I have a 900-page book to get through first, and I'm only about 150-pages in. I'm a slow reader too, so it'll likely take longer.
(5) Regardless of how much I end up liking/disliking this, I expect it to be a fairly quick read.
- Dan Brown books, with their micro-length chapters and shock twists, are sort of designed to be popcorn page-turners.
(6) As for what this book's about, I can't tell from the book blurb and, frankly, I don't care.
- You know what you're getting with a Robert Langdon book: Mickey Mouse watch, impossibly-brainy/impossibly-beautiful lady sidekick, a European art and architecture tour, so-bad-it's-good dialogue, etc.
(7) So far, I'm a five-star book away from Robert Langdon bingo.
- My ratings for this series have been all over the map.
- I very much doubt I'll be screaming Bingo! any time soon.
