Halfway through this book, and all I can say is damn, that’s a good book. I knew Dr. McGowan was a politically savvy and rebellious priestess/ theologian, but to really experience her intellect through writing is something else. I’m already reconsidering so many unhelpful messages I was taught in church growing up - especially as a woman. Can’t wait to see where the rest of the book goes!
