Kordell King sheriff deputy has been wanting to get close to Georgie the bartender for 2 yrs. He can tell she is prickly and standoffish so has a past and a reason. He finally (with lots of prodding from the town) asks her out. They are great together till her parents and their lawyer show up. They want her to come home - they don't love her, never have so must have some scheme to use her.
