after a looong hiatus from picking this book up, i’m back in it! learning new things not just for kids but for myself. Relearning old lessons and discovering how they were warped or changed to fit a narrative. this book is a gem, and i’m glad it was recommended to me.

the strong willed child grew up, and decided to do things differently. I’m absolutely loving this book.

my friend made me coffee at 830pm. no ragrets. not even a letter. i find myself late at night reading and finding a healthier way to navigate questions and interactions with kids and God. perhaps even my own kid someday.

first, this isn’t a emotional dump. but this book is def bringing back old childhood trauma that i have since moved on from thanks to therapy.
secondly, building new neural pathways to a healthier way of raising kids. as much as i’m enjoying this one i’m absolutely learning so much.

incredible insight. relearning stuff is good, tough sometimes. but definitely worth doing the work.
