I love the philosophical bits and the way the story is going but still not a fan about the low sense of humour (we get it, they’re humans, they’ve got to pee). Wondering if it’s a sort of parody of academic life as a PhD student, aiming at unromanticising the experience.

I’m struggling a bit with the level of humour. I mean:
“Peter’s map of Hell looked bizarrely like a pizza. An anus, really.”
