Emma is such a classist and gossip monger. Once again Austen proves to be a brilliant writer. Emma's sentiments are written satirically, with a natural censure and an assurance to the reader that almost says 'Don't you worry, Emma will learn her lesson.'

haha, she is annoying for sure. It's her coming of age that will make her endearing in the end. Brilliant Austen knew what she was doing. Enjoy! and try not to judge Emma too much, she is young and immature :)
