In my book, I have a text-to-self connection. I connect my own experiences to how Nico knows information on who Percy is but refuses to share it with him, what with his lost memory. I connect to this because I have been in situations where I have known a secret about my friend, but I couldn't tell anyone else. As you can see, this is a valid connection between me and the characters in my book.

In my book, the main character is Percy Jackson. At one time in the book he says, "And, Frank, you are a leader. Hazel would say the same thing. We need you." This quote by Percy reveals that he is a good friend for encouraging his friend Frank in a time of need. He inspires his friend that he is a good leader and says it in a kind and caring way. It is now clear that Percy is loyal and caring towards his friends.
