The perspective switched from one character to the next which is Scott. The author used a perspective of someone you don't know named Holly at the beginning. Holly's perspective showed a different side of the character from an outside perspective instead of knowing what he's thinking. Holly ended up going with Scott and then it switched. Now it's Scott who's with Pedro and next is Matt. I can't wait to read that part

The book has it as a journey of the hero. The 5 main characters can't defeat the leader of the Old Ones Chaos alone. The power of the 5 it's called. When 2 of the characters were together Matt the leader of the 5 was able to take apart a whole ice glacier. They were fighting on the ice and Matt made a huge chasm between the 2 sides that were fighting, and when all 5 of them are together their powers are unstoppable.

There are a bunch of people in the book. It relates to religion because the Old Ones were like a religion where witches and wizards believed it that religion. Quickly Matt realized something was wrong with the witch from the beginning. Terrible people were going to sacrifiece Matt to bring back the Old Ones. In the airplane Matt is controlling it with is telekineses so Lohan was mad. Flying to Antartica is a long way

The author finished the cycle with different points of view. I thought that it would start over, but then it went to the 4th point of view and that was unexpected. The author is using this technique because there are 5 main characters in each of the books. The first 1 was Matt. The second one was Pedro, the 3rd and 4th were twins Jamie and Scott, the 5th was Scarlett and all of their stories came together to fight.

Quickly running through the city is how I would describe this part of the book. The land is burning because of a volcano that hasn't erupted in years. Inside the city is panic just as any place would be when a volcano is going off. Red and black sky is all over the place because of the ashes and the lava balls. Burning houses are everywhere and I think that the spot in the book is actually a real place in our world.

After learning about Jamie in the book the author used the technique of changing perspectives. The book has five main characters. The five who can't beat the Old Ones alone. The author used this technique to show more of the story. It was a little of a cliff hanger because Jamie and Holly went through the door and then it switched perspectives. I want to know more about what happened.

This book reminds me of the journey of the hero book. The kid Matt at the beginning didn't meet his parents and none of the other kids of the five have either. Everything is stacked against them with these evil ancient beings called the Old Ones. The kids soon realize that they can't defeat these things alone and then they all need each other because then their powers will be magnified and they can beat them.

I didn't get to start reading this book for a while because the school library didn't have it, but I remembered right where I was from the 4th book. The author had the book switch perspectives of characters that I haven't heard about because they will meet the main characters and then you can know really what other people are thinking about them. This is the longest book in the series, but it's the last book also.
