Halfway mark and I’m still not entirely sure why this is so beloved because it’s really just Fine, imo. The random moments of introspection that are probably meant to make Carl more relatable and ground such an insane story in reality are missing by a wide margin. Princess Donut remains the only reason I keep reading. Keeping an open mind though!
