slow, confusing start but then wow. Up WAY too late reading. Great book, love the way Atwood writes.

So instead of going home from work to read this, I decided to stay at work and read this. I'm by myself, at work, reading. I figured this would be a great way to avoid the family and claim "late work night". I'm SUCH a bad mom.

I think I'm going home early to finish this. I think I must.

I've always been an Atwood fan and I've wanted to read this one for a long time. When I saw that it was available on Kindle, I was sold on it. I'm going to try and read this one slowly over time.

Wicked Incognito Now I love the way Atwood writes too. I have to admit, though, I didn't give this one much of a chance. It was just so ODD! I set it down and never picked it up again even though I always meant to.

Regina She is one of my very favorite authors -- although I loved it from page 1. Atwood has a crazy power over me.

Kelly I love her writing. The Handmaid's Tale is one of my all-time favorites, and the other one I've read of hers is Cat's Eye--which I didn't like, but the prose is fantastic, I just didn't like the book for really quirky personal reasons.

Atwood works for me. Whatever it is about her style, it works. It also keeps me from sleeping, getting ready for work, eating breakfast but that is besides the point.

Catherine Those good books are always interrupting my sleep! Good thing they're worth it. ;)

I'm so tired, I'm tempted to go home "sick".

D.G. I've never read anything by this author.

I think of all of Atwood's books, you would like this one the best. Usually, I would recommend The Handmaid's Tale but in your case, I'd recommend this one and I'm only at 40%.
