It is such a shame the writing isn't up to par. The subject, the worldbuilding and the characters could benefit from better writing.
The heart going "thump thump" and modern slang doesn't quite click with Norse mythology and Vikings (imo).
It can't be published as YA because there's romance involved... but the writing is subpar.

The cover art is beautiful. The story and the setting could be great. But then... there's the middle grade level writing : "... my heart giving a rapid thump thump ".
