Some striking end of the world writing but wow the characters, gender and race depictions are dated and plain annoying. The lead character Tony is ok minus all his love issues and whining about Eve (unless he's getting off killing "savages"). If I had to hang out with these upper class snobs I would go to the nearest coast to die as quickly as possible versus being with these wannabe demigods. Film version is fun.
