Second to last chapter was honestly so sad. He did so much for Texas to be independent and then enter the union, but they would not listen to him in their greatest strife. They dropped him like an old toy.

This is a good read, but I’m not enjoying it that much. I much prefer the JQA book I recently read. But I MUST read this. It’s like basically required for the position I am currently in.
