Ok I finally finished the translator notes and I canfinally read the actual story now. I’m glad I read the introduction, it got me in the mind of the times. And reading the translator notes were interesting because you could tell the translator put a lot of effort into the book and she helps get rid of this idea that translations shouldn’t change. Fun stuff over all.

Woohoo Finally finished the introduction!!! Now onto the Translator Notes and then on to the actual story! Was really interesting to get a glimpse on how this story was used in the past and how it continues to be crucial text for people studying literature.

Getting to read about gender roles and all things considered this story might be ahead of its time, not great moments but interesting moments that make you question.

Introduction: Hell yeah getting into the politics of Bronze Age Greece!!!
