A minor character in this book would be Jordan's dad, Paul. He is an adventure racer who loves the outdoors, he is an enthusiastic dad who will do anything for his son. The dad has a special connection to Jordan because he helps him fulfill his dream of climbing the 7 Summits. Before and during each climb, Paul is with Jordan and guides him through every step making him a very influential character in this story.

If I were Jordan Romero, i would try my hardest to overcome the hard and dangerous goal of climbing he tallest mountain on all 7 continents. I would train hard and diligently just as Jordan does throughout the story and make sure i was ready before each step towards the finish. I wouldn't consider this a conflict though, maybe a person versus person conflict but i would categorize it as a goal or desire.

My favorite character in this book is Jordan Romero who is the main character and the protagonist. There isn't really an antagonist in this story which helps to make the protagonist seem much stronger during the course of the book. Jordan is a very round character because his actions are very unpredictable and his personality is unique. He is very set on achieving a goal and fights doubt all the way.

I like the title of this book and i thin that it fits very nicely with the plot of the story. It shows that Jordan is dedicated to his goal of climbing the seven summits and is not going to stop in the face of danger. If i had to change the title of this book i would make it " The ultimate Goal " because i believe that this shows the power and determination that Jordan has.

The setting is all over the world, The Romero family lives in California and the year is not specific but it is in the range of 2007-2010. The setting of the mountains is an antagonist and each one challenges him more and more with weather and the fear of death.

April 5th, 20th, Today i have reached the summit of my second mountain. It is the tallest in Australia, but the shortest of the 7 summits. I was less than impressed after climbing Mount Kili at 19K ft. Mount Kosciuszko is only 7K ft making the climb much shorter and easier. Lastly, the weather was horrible and it was a miserable climb with unimpressive sights. The safari was the highlight of the day though.
