I feel like I've overlooked the symbols shamelessly. I know they're there, I just- kinda- forget they're there. I need to collect more quotes and scenes related to the symbolism, it's a key tool that is assured to score me some points if I mention it in the essays.
The rope and worms seem to be the only ones, and they relate to parenting, children and safety, and maybe environmental destruction. I need to be smart.

Gosh, I wish these updates weren't so short.
Once you've read the whole book, it's slightly easier to identify implied meanings and choose what might actually be important. The examiners seem to be enticed by character/relationship-centred questions lately, and it might be pissing me off a little <33 when it comes to this book, that does relate to the central theme, but still, not my forte.

Alright, I haven't had the chance to read over all of it yet, but here are some notes so far. I'd like to have a better way to deepen my description of Amanda's and Carla's relationship. It's a confusing relationship for sure, but I just can't put my finger on how to describe it properly. There seems to be something about it that links back to the parenting themes (duh), but I can't put it into words.

Yes, I an re-reading this 2 months after finishing it. I’ll be going over themes, characters, and possible analysis points to annotate it. I’ll gladly update my vlog too with it :))
