So many things I want to say. Margot suffers so tremendously. But that ache is the only way she knows how to feel love. It is fundamentally crooked but it’s her only foundation.

(I don’t like eden⁉️)

“Mama pulled her hands away and let me go. I grazed my knees on the rug as I fell, but falling felt like floating around her, and pain was overwhelmed by the feeling of being held.”

laughing my ass off!!!

I really like how Margot is written— taught to be quiet and obey, never let anyone know what she’s actually thinking. Abbie has just been introduced and the way she speaks about her—

“I daydreamed of smelling her scalp.”

— it’s an infatuation that borders on disturbing, and Margot doesn’t even know yet it. I’m excited :)

Only have read a sample so far. It’s simplistic in where it poses you but also detailed in its grotesque nature. Margot sees everything, feels everything, is too young to explain it. And I understand how she feels for her mom, in a morbid, terrible way. It feels comforting and I’d like to read more but the goddamn book is sold out everywhere. FAWK
