I’m literally kicking myself for waiting so long to get back to this book. Veronica G Henry is now an Auto buy author for me. The tension btwn Liza Ishe and Jamie is too tier. The stakes high. And the African folklore with the American setting is great. Depending on how this ends will be a five star book for me.

I’m back to really enjoying this book.

I think I would like this book more if I actually concentrated and read it. Seems interesting enough. When I am listening I like it, think I’m just reading too much at once.

Story’s kinda boring. Too much exposition, but it is a carnival and the carnies do deserve some description
