The way this is written is different but easy to figure out. You just have to realize there are no chapters. It is going from what happened in the garden vs the investigation. This pov really focuses on the victims at the same time learning about the captor...now with Desmond, we are unable to read him besides the fact that making his father proud is a priority (even if it is morally wrong).
