Max is a very interesting character. At first, he was lazy, mean, selfish, and did not care for other people. When he visited Puerto muerto though, he began to change. When he arrived, he was lazy, and the citizens described him as an american. They stereotyped him. Then he began to care for other people. He didn't think for other people.

This book seems very interesting, and the main character acts like almost everyone else in the U.S., lazy. Max is a spoiled kid from Boston who has to go to the Us and work.
