Hannah Just an FYI as an Orthodox person ... Fr. Josiah Trenham is an online celebrity/guru but doesn't speak for the whole Orthodox Church. He's somewhat of a dissenter on a lot of issues (my priest cautioned me against him). He's controversial.
His publishing house/app Patristic Nectar does put out good materials.
I would especially not take his teachings on marriage/chastity as Orthodox teaching.

Hannah Here's a quote from your good friend Brian who is not on Goodreads:

"... Fr Trenham ... thinks non-Orthodox are not really baptized, and that the pope is just a layman in a white robe. And he spends all his time on the internet.

In other words, he has no idea what he’s talking about. He’s a good example of someone who never stopped having a Protestant mentality after becoming Orthodox. It’s unfortunately common among a vocal minority of mostly internet people."

Emily Byrd Starr Oh thanks! I appreciate the tip. That is good to know. I am looking for reading materials from the church fathers on consecrated virginity. Since the book was originally a PhD dissertation, with a plethora of citations, I am hoping to use it as a spring board for more sources on the topic. I will say I think I disagree with the book’s take on Christian marriage, but I am not sure if my disagreement with Chrysostom or the author’s interpretation of Chrysostom.
