The main protagonist is a drag. She seems to have spent her life as a doormat and doesn't seem to be inclined to change it. The switches in the time frame could have been better structured. Apart from the time in the hospital part, I had to continue reading it in the hope it will get better. Could have definitely given this book a miss.
