Now THIS is how you do a teenage vampire book. The pacing was great: fluid, funny, fresh. Good writing. Great cast.
Pearl is the real unicorn here: A female narrator that is sarcastic, charismatic, smart and 100% badass. Someone that doesn't think about eternal love at sixteen at inconvenient times like, say, when her life is in freaking danger.
